The VSI Alliance invites you to become a member and begin experiencing member benefits right away including:
- The opportunity for participants to influence the scope of SoC/IP commerce decisions and technical work undertaken by the Pillars, thereby insuring your company’s interests are represented
- Identifying and influencing the scope of any future technical work undertaken in the VSIA
- Exploring and incubating important issues within the VSIA rather than take on the financial burden of this R&D effort within your company
- Exchanging business and technical information with industry leaders who are VSIA members, benefiting from their insight into today’s and tomorrow’s design challenges and solutions
- Access to all VSIA work during development if you are a Pillar member or when the work is ratified and at no cost
The VSI Alliance offers three main membership classes for interested
organizations: Principal Members, General Members, and Documentation-Only
Members. Each class of membership has its own dues levels
and privileges.
Work of the VSI Alliance is carried out through its working
groups, known as Pillars, which address standards issues to
improve productivity for SoC and IP developers and users.
Currently, there are three VSI Alliance Pillars: the IP Quality
Pillar; the IP Protection Pillar; and the IP Transfer Pillar. Companies
wishing to participate on one or more VSI Alliance Pillars
must be invited to join each Pillar by the Pillar Chair and
approved by the current Pillar members. For additional
information on joining a Pillar, see the Pillars pages.
This membership category consists of VSIA member organizations
represented by voting members of either the VSI Alliance Board
of Directors or a VSI Alliance Pillar.
- Board of Directors: The Board of Directors
must be elected to the Board by the general VSI Alliance
membership during the annual elections.
- Voting Pillar Member: These organizations
have been invited and elected to participate as voting members
on one or more Pillars by the current voting Pillar Members.

- Access to VSI Alliance member-release and final documents
- May participate in and vote on documents for any Pillar
into which the member has been voted
- May nominate a representative to run for a seat on the

Finding Your Dues Amount
Choose the highest applicable General Membership Level (i.e.,
Very Large, Large, Medium or Small) from the table below, based
on your organization's gross annual revenues and, for companies
with less than $100 M in gross annual revenues, the number of
full-time employees. For example, if your company’s gross
annual revenues are $9 million, and the number of employees
is 105, the dues would be $10,000 (because your organization’s
employees number more than 100).
Wholly owned subsidiaries must sign up at the parent company’s
level, calculating the General Membership Level based on the
aggregate gross annual revenues and number of employees of
the parent and subsidiary.
