The charter of the IP Protection Pillar is to define, develop
and document open, interoperable, standards-based solutions
for IP protection that balance the necessary level of security
with customer usability of Intellectual Property to foster
the proliferation of design reuse.
Solutions will use existing technology wherever possible and
will accommodate the broad spectrum of EDA tools, types of
IP, sources of IP, and business requirements for customers
and IP providers. All solutions will support customer use
and supplier distribution models. These may take the form
of recommended guidelines, practices, standards and/or implementation
plans.
